Medialaan is the home of strong media brands such as VTM, QMusic, Stevie,... In the context of their digital transformation program, Big Industries was invited to architect, deploy and help run a Big Data platform.
The project consists of designing and deploying a Cloudera Hadoop cluster, including performance tuning, service deployment, automation, back-up and disaster recovery script development. Data integration from various data sources to the Hadoop cluster running Hive and Apache Impala.
As a results Medialaan gets a better understanding of media consumption behaviour patterns and act on it accordingly.
